The Kaligandaki river originating from Tibet flows across Mustang and Myagdi district and southwards. The river in this section is very well known for the geological traverse to study the rocks of Lesser Himalaya, Higher Himalaya, Tethys Himalaya and the Thakkhola-Mustang Graben. The rocks are well exposed along the road section which passes along the river from Beni. Myagdi to Kagbeni, Mustang. Geological traverse along this section can be fruitful to observe and study the rocks of those respective zones.
